DG Inclusion, Social Rights and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
In liaison with other national and international levels of government, and with civil society representatives, it exercises the following functions:
- promotion and implementation of policies against poverty;
- policies to support people and serious marginalization;
- support to the activities of the Commission of inquiry on social exclusion;
- co-financing and monitoring of measures for the income support;
- promotion and implementation of policies to combat housing discomfort for social categories in particular hardship;
- guidance and coordination of actions for infancy and adolescents and protection of the rights of the children;
- co-support to the work of the National Observatory on childhood and adolescence and of the National Center for documentation and analysis of childhood and adolescence;
- experimental policies and actions for assistance, social integration and employment and promotion of the rights of disabled people;
- support policies for he elderly with particular attention to the issues of autonomy, non-self-sufficiency and active aging;
- co-supervision of the national agency of the EU Youth Program;
- promotion and development of initiatives on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR);
- coordination of initiatives on CSR and relations with international organizations and the European Union.
